అంబేద్కర్ తన అనుచరులకు చేసిన 22 ప్రమాణాలు :

Twenty-two vows of Ambedkar

 ఇరవై రెండు ప్రతిజ్ఞలు భారతదేశంలో బౌద్ధమత పునరుద్ధరణ కర్త అయిన బి. ఆర్. అంబేద్కర్ తన అనుచరులకు అందించిన 22 బౌద్ధ ప్రమాణాలు. బౌద్ధమతంలోకి మారిన తర్వాత, అంబేద్కర్ 22 ప్రమాణాలు చేసి, తన 6,00,000 మంది మద్దతుదారులను అదే విధంగా చేయమని కోరాడు. దీక్షను స్వీకరించిన అనంతరం అంబేద్కర్ తన అనుచరులకు ధమ్మ దీక్షలు చేశారు. ఈ వేడుకలో త్రీ జ్యువెల్స్ మరియు ఫైవ్ ప్రిసెప్ట్స్ తర్వాత కొత్తగా మారిన వారందరికీ 22 ప్రమాణాలు ఉన్నాయి. 14 అక్టోబర్ 1956న నాగ్‌పూర్‌లో, అంబేద్కర్ చంద్రపూర్‌లో మరో సామూహిక మత మార్పిడి కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించారు.

1. నాకు బ్రహ్మ, విష్ణు, మహేశ్వరులపై విశ్వాసం ఉండదు, వారిని పూజించను. 

2. భగవంతుని అవతారమని విశ్వసించే రాముడు మరియు కృష్ణులపై నాకు విశ్వాసం ఉండదు, వారిని పూజించను.

13. నేను అన్ని జీవుల పట్ల కరుణ మరియు ప్రేమపూర్వక దయ కలిగి ఉంటాను మరియు వాటిని రక్షిస్తాను. 

14.నేను దొంగతనం చేయను. 

15. నేను అబద్ధాలు చెప్పను. 

16. నేను శరీరానికి సంబంధించిన పాపాలు చేయను. 

17. నేను మద్యం, డ్రగ్స్ మొదలైన మత్తుపదార్థాలు తీసుకోను. (మునుపటి ఐదు నిర్దేశిత ప్రమాణాలు [#13–17] ఐదు సూత్రాల నుండి వచ్చినవి.) 

18. నేను శ్రేష్ఠమైన ఎనిమిది రెట్లు మార్గాన్ని అనుసరించడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తాను మరియు రోజువారీ జీవితంలో కరుణ మరియు ప్రేమపూర్వక దయను ఆచరిస్తాను. 

19. అసమానతపై ఆధారపడినందున మానవాళిని అగౌరవపరిచే మరియు మానవాళి యొక్క పురోగతి మరియు అభివృద్ధికి ఆటంకం కలిగించే హిందూ మతాన్ని నేను త్యజించి, బౌద్ధమతాన్ని నా మతంగా స్వీకరించాను. 

20.బుద్ధుని ధర్మం మాత్రమే నిజమైన మతమని నేను గట్టిగా నమ్ముతున్నాను. 

21. నేను కొత్త జన్మ తీసుకున్నట్లు భావిస్తున్నాను. (ప్రత్యామ్నాయంగా, "బౌద్ధమతాన్ని స్వీకరించడం ద్వారా నాకు పునర్జన్మ లభిస్తుందని నేను నమ్ముతున్నాను.") 

22. నేను బుద్ధుని ధర్మ బోధల ప్రకారం ఇకపై నా జీవితాన్ని గడుపుతానని గంభీరంగా ప్రకటిస్తున్నాను మరియు ధృవీకరిస్తున్నాను.

The following are the 22 vows administered by Ambedkar to his followers:

1. I shall have no faith in Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara, nor shall I worship them.
2. I shall have no faith in Rama and Krishna, who are believed to be incarnation of God, nor shall I worship them.
3. I shall have no faith in Gauri, Ganapati and other gods and goddesses of Hindus, nor shall I worship them.
4. I do not believe in the incarnation of God.
5. I do not and shall not believe that Lord Buddha was the incarnation of Vishnu. I believe this to be sheer madness and false propaganda.
6. I shall not perform Shraddha nor shall I give pind.
7. I shall not act in a manner violating the principles and teachings of the Buddha.
8. I shall not allow any ceremonies to be performed by Brahmins.
9. I shall believe in the equality of man.
10. I shall endeavour to establish equality.
11. I shall follow the Noble Eightfold Path of the Buddha.
12. I shall follow the ten paramitas prescribed by the Buddha.
13. I shall have compassion and loving-kindness for all living beings and protect them.
14. I shall not steal.
15. I shall not tell lies.
16. I shall not commit carnal sins.
17. I shall not take intoxicants like liquor, drugs, etc.

    (The previous five proscriptive vows [#13–17] are from the Five Precepts.)

18. I shall endeavour to follow the Noble Eightfold Path and practice compassion and loving-kindness in everyday life.
19. I renounce Hinduism, which disfavors humanity and impedes the advancement and development of humanity because it is based on inequality, and adopt Buddhism as my religion.
20. I firmly believe the Dhamma of the Buddha is the only true religion.
21. I consider that I have taken a new birth. (Alternately, "I believe that by adopting Buddhism I am having a re-birth."^[7])
22. I solemnly declare and affirm that I shall hereafter lead my life according to the teachings of Buddha's Dhamma.
